Am Freitag war nicht nur mein zwanzigster Geburtstag, sondern auch der 20. Jahrestag der ersten großen Montagsdemo in Leipzig, die friedlich verlief. So feierten wir zuerst gemütlich im Kreis der Familie und bummelten abends durch die Innenstadt, in der verschiedene Lichtinstallationen an die Ereignisse vor 20 Jahren erinnerten – was für ein unvergesslicher Tag! Gestern wurde dann noch mit den Freunden gefeiert und bei der “Russendisco” ordentlich Spaß gehabt. Heute musste ich mich dann erstmal ausruhen und in Ruhe über all die schönen Geschenke und tollen Momente freuen…

On Friday, it wasn’t only my birthday, but also the 20th Anniversary of the first peaceful Monday demonstration with 70.000 people in Leipzig. We celebrated within the family circle first and went to the city centre later where various light installations were remniscent of the happenings 20 years ago – what an unforgettable day! Yesterday, we celebrated with our friends and had fun at the “Russian Disco” Baikal Train. Today was all about relaxing and being delighted in all the great gifts and wonderful moments…

Einen Tag vor mir hatte mein Bruder Geburtstag – und bekam von mir ein Meditationskissen gefüllt mit Bio- Hirseschalen. Er hat sich sehr darüber gefreut.

On Thursday, it was my brother’s birthday – and I gave him a meditation cushion filled with organic millet chaff. He liked it very much.

Der Juni ist so schnell vergangen und nun ist schon Juli und unser Sommerurlaub steht vor der Tür. Am Sonntag machen wir uns auf den Weg, um 2 hoffentlich sonnige Wochen im Norden Europas zu verbringen. June passed by so quickly and now it’s July already and our summer vacation is just around the corner. On Sunday, we are heading off to the north of Europe to spend 2 hopefully sunny weeks there. As soon as I’m back, I will tell you about our journey, post pictures and of course new articles featuring inspirations, tutorials (e.g. the skirt I’ve been promising) and much more. Es ist wunderbar aufzuwachen und zu merken, dass alles schneebedeckt ist. Ebenso wunderbar ist es, nachmittags einen Winterspaziergang zu machen, anschließend zu Hause Milchreis mit Pflaumen, Zucker und Zimt zu essen und “Siedler von Catan” zu spielen.

It’s wonderful to wake up and notice everything is covered with snow. And it’s equally wonderful do go on a wintery walk in the afternoon, eat rice pudding with plums, sugar and cinnamon at home afterwards and play “Settlers of Catan”.
