Den großen Armreifen hat ein Freund (Drechsler) handgemacht, der kleine hat früher meiner Mama gehört und die Kette ist von Lebonbonmulticolore.

 Das großartige australische Schmuck-Label Dapple Grey fand ich schon vor einiger Zeit im Neet Magazine und mochte es gleich sehr, vergaß aber immer, darüber zu schreiben. Die Motive – ein Mädchen, das seinen Drachen steigen lässt, Fahrräder und Rehe – haben mich gleich angesprochen. Außerdem gefällt mir, dass der Schmuck einerseits natürlich wirkt, weil die Anhänger aus Holz gemacht sind, andererseits aber durch die knallbunte Lasur einen witzigen, verrückten Touch bekommt. Um es kurz zu machen: Renee Glastonbury von Dapple Grey macht genau die Art von Schmuck, die ich am liebsten habe.

 Some time ago, I found the great Australian jewellery brand Dapple Grey via Neet Magazine and liked it very much, but always forgot to write about it. The motifs – a girl flying a kite, bicycles and deer – attracted my attention right away. In addition, I like how the jewellery looks natural in a way, because the pendants are made from wood, but is given a funny, crazy touch by the brightly colored glaze. To sum up: Renee Glastonbury of Dapple Grey makes the kind of jewellery I like most.

 Wie bereits erwähnt, war ich gestern – gemeinsam mit Nadine und einem Freund – bei der Kollekto-Modenschau hier in Leipzig. Obwohl schon einige witzige Gestalten unter den Gästen und Models waren, fand ich die Schau insgesamt doch sehr gelungen. Besonders toll fand ich, dass die Designer aus verschiedensten Ländern (Schweden, Portugal, Ungarn, Deutschland, Polen, Russland) und Stilrichtungen stammten, was das Ganze sehr abwechlungsreich machte. Fast alle Kollektionen hatten interessante Elemente, so zum Beispiel die Schuh-Socken-Kombinationen bei Ylva aus Schweden, die Prints bei Lidija Kolovrat oder die Taschen bei Ferenc Csabay, die halben Jacken glichen. Trotzdem muss ich sagen, dass mir die Designs der polnischen Modedesignerin Lucja Wojtala am besten gefallen haben. Ihre Kollektion ergab ein tolles Gesamtbild, die Stoffe und Schnitte waren einfach klasse – und sie hat das seltene Talent, Einzigartigkeit und Tragbarkeit zu kombinieren. So habe ich bei der Schau also nicht nur eine Menge Spaß gehabt, sondern auch noch eine sehr inspirierende Designerin gefunden, über die ich sonst wohl nie gestolpert wäre. Kurz und knapp: ich freue mich auf die Kollekto 09!

As I told you before, I went to a fashion show with Nadine and a friend yesterday. Among the visitors and models, there were some funny folks, but I still found the show really successful. I liked that the designers came from lots of different countries (Sweden, Portugal, Hungary, Germany, Poland, Russia) and styles, which made the whole event quite diversified. Nearly all collections had interesting elements, but I still prefered the designs of Polish fashion designer Lucja Wojtala. The overall picture of her collection was great, the fabrics and cuts were just pretty – and she has the special talent of combining uniqueness and wearability. Like this, I didn’t only have a lot of fun at the show, but also found a very inspiring designer I wouldn’t have stumbled upon otherwise. Short and crisp: I’m looking forward to Kollekto 09!
