- Dalarna horses: I even have a fabric with these horses on it, but I didn’t really know about their existance until I read this Ikea-book. Now I’m in love with them and I want a red horse to place in front of the potential turquoise wall in our future home.

- Baskets: For some reason, I’m into all kinds of baskets lately. Maybe it’s because they remind me so much of summer and picnics in the sun. Anyway, I love them and I plan on wearing my basket-like bag quite often this year.

- Frau Tulpe: Through one of my flickr friends, I found Frau Tulpe which is an online shop selling the cutest fabrics and sewing supplies. My boyfriend already ordered some ’shroom-fabric for our future kitchen!

- Vintage silhouettes: I think my Camper-flats made me fall in love with black-and-white silhouettes. Luckily, I found two beautiful ”embroidery-pictures” with silhouettes some time ago.

- Devandervar: As you know, I usually don’t fall for one special designer. However, I forgot all my principles when I found Devandervar on Styleserver, because their colorful graphic sweaters are just lovely and really inspiring.

Despite the negative things I mentioned here, I’ve been quite happy with what I’ve seen in thrift stores lately. Seems like scarfs and little accessories are the items one can always find…

The scarf on the left has the most wonderful green color and white print. On the right scarf, there are the words “Mary Kay” and “team manager”, so I guess someone got it because of their position in the company. I didn’t even notice that when I bought it, but got it because of the keys-print.

I’ve wanted something like the scarf on the left for some time now. However, the ones I watched on eBay were always really expensive. I got this one for only 1€. The turquoise (yum!) cotton fabric on the left has a nice print and great colors.

In addition to these smaller treasures, we found a vintage kitchen for our new flat yesterday! It’s approximately from the 1930s, off-white and incredibly nice. I will show you a photo later – when we’ve “refashioned” it.

When I read about the upcoming collaboration of H&M and Finnish label Marimekko some time ago, I got really excited. I’ve loved the prints and designs of Marimekko for a while now, so the thought of actually buying one of their pieces (at a reasonable price) really appealed to me. However, I was extremely disappointed when I saw the collection in the shops last weekend. All available garments were either pink and blue, pink and orange or black and white (which aren’t really my favourite combinations), most of the cuts looked like they had been designed for pregnant women and the materials seemed quite cheap. The only thing I actually liked was a dress for little girls. Well, I guess it’s just the same as always: on the H&M-website and in magazines, there are photos of some nice-looking garments (I like the blue-and-yellow dress and the orange-and-brown tunic, especially), but in the shops near me none of these are available. Therefore, I’ll probably try to get my hands on some Marimekko-fabric instead…
