Gestern fand ich dieses Buch in der Schweden-Abteilung der Buchhandlung - und verliebte mich in Carl Larssons Bilder: die Farben, die Details, die Menschen und ihre Kleidung. Wunderbar!

Yesterday, I found this book in the Sweden-section of the book shop – and fell in love with Carl Larsson’s pictures: the colors, the details, the people and their clothes. Wonderful!

Kommende Woche muss ich nach Dresden und werde wohl nicht bloggen können, deshalb wollte ich euch vorher noch ein paar Fotos von Dingen zeigen, die ich gemacht habe. “Fredrika” ist wohl der IKEA-Stoff, den ich am meisten benutzt habe und der mir auch am allerbesten gefällt. Nachdem ich bereits Gardinen, einen Nähmaschinenüberzug, eine Federmappe und anderes daraus genäht habe, denke ich nun darüber nach, ihn auch mal in etwas Tragbares zu verwandeln…

Next week, I have to go to Dresden and I guess I won’t be able to blog then, so I decided to show you some picture of things I made before I leave. “Fredrika” is probably the IKEA-fabric I’ve used most and also the one I like best. After making curtains, a sewing machine cover, a pencil case and other things, I’m thinking about making it into something wearable now…

Mir hat es immer gefallen, wie Coco Chanel weite Hosen mit Perlenketten und kleinen Absätzen kombinierte. Darum trug ich beides heute zu meiner neuen Hose. Leider musste ich später zu Ballerinas wechseln, weil ich die anderen Schuhe zum Schuster bringen musste.

I always liked the way Coco Chanel was wearing wide pants with pearl necklaces and little heels. That’s why I was wearing both with my new pants today. Sadly, I had to change to flats later, because I had to bring the other shoes to the shoe repairer.
